Maintenance Technician - Boston
Maintenance Technician
Location: Boston
Salary: $31.78/hour
This position is located in Boston, MA reporting directly to the Operations Manager and Vice president of Operations.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Responsible for all power washing (weather permitting) and hand cleaning, removal of graffiti, dirt, stickers, and debris for street furniture throughout the city of Boston
- Responsible for posting advertisements in JCDecaux’s terms and conditions
- Snow and ice removal in accordance with the winter snow procedure. This may require the use of snowplows, snow blowers, and/or spreading snow melting chemicals
- Utilize all applicable technology relevant to the job (smartphone/proprietary software)
- Navigate, maintain, and drive company vehicles
- Using ladders to work with heights of 10’
- Handle, install, and position all moving materials
- Maintain cleanliness of shelters using soapy water, squeegees, etc.
- Make adjustments to advertisements inside of Ad Boxes
- Inspection of equipment and/or structures to assure there are no problems or errors

- Extreme heat/ cold or odors
- Dust or Dirty Fumes
- Electrical Wires and/or Machinery
- This job involves manual labor, including lifting, carrying, standing/walking for extended periods and operating manual and/or mechanical equipment
Knowledge, Skill, Education Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to drive min 8hrs/day
- Strong geographic understanding of the city of Boston
- Strong attention to detail
- Commitment to working safely
- Good reliability, responsibility, and punctuality characteristics
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift minimum of 50lbs
- High school diploma/GED
- Flexible schedule during winter months
